La Vieille Distillerie takes its responsibilities under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation very seriously and will ensure that the personal information La Vieille Distillerie obtains is held, used, transferred and processed in accordance with it.

What type of information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information individuals enter on our website or provide us when completing any of our forms.  We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including the individual’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

  • Postal address;

  • Telephone number;

  • Email address;

  • Date of Booking;

  • Flight Information;

  • Mobility Assistance or Dietary Requirements including food allergies;

  • E-mail Newsletter indicator;

This information is kept electronically on an encrypted database for the period of a year and is then deleted.

 

The following information is held on a long term basis using an encrypted database:

  • Email address;

  • Name;

  • Date of Booking;

  • Feedback;

  • Any testimonial provided.

 

This information is held to enable us to send email newsletters and analyse feedback after a stay.

 

Each email sent will include the option to unsubscribe from this database, when all details will be permanently removed.

How We Collect Your Data

We collect data from individuals directly and with their consent.  We collect this data via an online form on our website, from forms sent direct to individuals or from our Visitors Book.

 

Why We Collect Personal Information

We collect this information for the following purposes:

  • To book accommodation;

  • To send e-mail newsletters and marketing campaigns;

  • To create aggregated statistical data which we may use to provide and improve our respective services.

How We Store, Share and Disclose This Information

We store an individual’s data on an encrypted database.  The information is managed by Vicky Wharton.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform.  An Individual’s data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.  They store the data on secure servers behind a firewall and are fully GDPR compliant.  Guests' comments in the Visitors Book, may be copied to our website.

 

We use Google Analytics to track website visitor numbers, page popularity and other similar data.  Google will use an individual’s IP address and a cookie to track this.  The information available to us from Google Analytics is aggregated and anonymised, which means we cannot identify the individual.  Google is fully GDPR compliant.

 

An individual’s information is not shared with any other person or organisation.

Cookies

Wix.com uses cookies to remember who you are as you browse around the website.  These just contain a unique random identification code and do not contain any personal information.

 

We use Google Analytics as detailed above, and their system uses cookies.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently.  Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.  If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify each individual that it has been updated, so that they are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
